I chose recaito as it is the most alkaline condiment per calorie. Also, because I had never heard of it and I’m always interested in new foods. So it was nice to learn about this cilantro and green pepper relish.
There are many recipes for this Puerto Rican dish called sofrito. But I chose this one because it features clear step-by-step photographs. Particularly useful where unfamiliar ingredients are involved.
