Milkshakes are alkaline… until they’re not!<\/p>\n
Which is my way of saying, “it’s all about the ingredients”. Now that is true of every food and drink in the USDA database. But this category might be more confusing.<\/p>\n

Our first confusion is the name. Is it the common milkshake? Or the USDA milk shake as two separate words? Maybe you have an opinion. Because the world is full of very strong opinions on this matter. So I’ve decided to ignore it because…<\/p>\n
The main confusion is the ingredients. Here again, everyone has a different recipe. Also, be aware this food category is more than milkshakes. Because the USDA official title is Milk shakes and other dairy drinks<\/em>. So it includes a variety of milk-based drinks that have different flavorings. The best way to avoid confusion is to make your own shakes from scratch. Then you can calculate the PRAL value of your recipe. Or send me your recipe in the feedback form below.
